Minister Alexis Gisaro conducted a detailed on-site inspection of the paving results and remarked, “The professional expertise and efficient management of Chinese enterprises have set a benchmark for infrastructure in the DRC. The Southwest Ring Road will greatly improve traffic congestion in Kinshasa and support regional economic development.”
The Kinshasa Southwest Ring Road project is a key livelihood initiative planned by the DRC government. Once completed, it will connect several core areas in the southwestern part of the city, ease the burden on major roads, and promote the integration of logistics and urban development. During construction, China Railway No.8 Engineering Group actively fulfilled its social responsibilities by creating over 1,000 local jobs and enhancing the skill level of local workers through technical training, earning broad recognition from the local government and public.
